Drachenfels train
Local name: Drachenfelsbahn
The first mountain toothed railway in Germany (the middle of the three tracks is serrated, which prevents slipping when climbing steep elevations), opened on July 13, 1883, it still transports tourists to the summit of Drachenfels and the ruins of a 12th-century castle and to it Drachenburg. In the 20th century, steam locomotives were replaced by electric locomotives.
