Drachenburg Castle

Local name: Schloss Drachenburg

Built at a record pace (1882-1884), the castle was commissioned by stockbroker Stephan von Sarter, who invested 1.7 million marks in astronomical construction at that time. The neo-Gothic building with neo-Renaissance equipment is currently a museum object - you can see here, among others an exhibition dedicated to the history of the castle and its owners.
