The annual Christmas market takes place on the market square in Hildesheim and on its adjacent squares and streets. It starts with the beginning of Advent and lasts until the first day after Christmas. You can buy Christmas decorations, gingerbread, treats for the festive table, cribs and many other souvenirs. There are also food and mulled wine stalls.
