Ahlbeck seaside resort
Local name: Seebad Ahlbeck
The seaside resort was one of the three imperial spas currently combined into one commune. It houses a number of 19th-century buildings with architecture characteristic of contemporary resorts and facades in shades of white, beige and blue.
The main attraction of the resort is the pier, built in 1899. In 1993 it was restored and restored to its original appearance. It is 280 m long and overlooks the sea. At the entrance there is an Art Nouveau clock from 1911. At the pier there is a well-equipped city beach and a restaurant. Since 1995, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, the so-called walrus baths, attended on average by approx. 200 people.
Within the resort, only 50 meters from the Polish-German border, there is a small market. You can buy souvenirs as well as snacks and drinks here.
