The facility is dedicated to the German contribution to nuclear energy research. The central exhibit is the reconstruction of the nuclear reactor constructed at the end of World War II. One of the permanent exhibitions is devoted to Werner Karl Heisenberg (1901-1976), who received the Nobel Prize for his contribution to the development of quantum physics.
