Castle Johannisberg

The Baroque palace standing on a hill is surrounded by extensive vineyards. The Benedictine monastery was built in this place around 1100. It was destroyed during peasant wars in the 16th century. The three-wing castle with outbuildings and outbuildings has been the center of wine growing of the Riesling variety since the 18th century.
