Eberstadt stalactite cave
Local name: Eberstadter Tropfsteinhöhle
The cave was discovered in 1971 after explosions in the Muschelkalk quarry. It measures about 600 meters long and is 341 meters above sea level. It was probably formed 3-5 million years ago. It consists of corridors and several rooms up to 6 m high. They are full of stalagmites, stalactites and other rock and stalactite forms.
