Berliner Fernsehturm is a television tower built in 1965–1969 in what was then East Berlin, which belonged to the German Democratic Republic. It is the tallest building in Germany - it has 368 meters. At a height of 203.8 meters there is a viewpoint, and at a level of 207.5 m there is a restaurant.
The viewpoint and restaurant are located in the spherical part of the tower. Part of the restaurant intended for customers was founded on a rotating ring. After the tower was put into service, one full turn took about an hour - now the full 360-degree panorama of Berlin can be seen in 30 minutes.
Berliner Fernsehturm belongs to the Melbourne World Federation of Great Towers, founded in 1989 in Melbourne, which ranked it 8th among the highest towers in the world that have a vantage point and are open to the public.
