Vaujany is a ski resort in the Alps. A small village, picturesquely situated in a mountain valley, in winter it is crowded with skiers, and in summer it can be a great starting point for hiking in the mountains.
The village combines tradition with modernity. Its center has a historic building with a Gothic church and stone houses. A bit further there are guesthouses, hotels and holiday apartments of a high standard.
In winter, the main attraction is the Oz Vaujany ski resort with about 200 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty. They are served by several dozen ski lifts, including the Oz-Vujany cable car, which also operates in summer. In the resort you can use the snow park, catering facilities, riding schools and excellent apres-ski facilities. There is also an Oz Alpette station in the vicinity of Vaujana. In summer, the cable car that goes here allows quick access to the higher routes.
In summer, hiking in Vaujany flourishes. Alpine landscapes, mountain lakes such as Lake Sagne, the Col du Couard passes, Col du Sabot and many others, as well as mountain ranges such as Ruisseau de la Fare allow for long hikes with beautiful views. The trails in the area are prepared for tourists of various abilities and offer the possibility of freely composing your hikes.
