Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is a resort on the Cote d'Azur. It is often called the town of billionaires because many representatives of the world's financial elite have built their villas both in the town itself and on the Cap Ferrat peninsula.
The town has a beautiful location on the slopes of the hills that descend to the sea, which cover the small Cap Ferrat peninsula. There is no shortage of pretty Mediterranean-style houses, guesthouses and hotels. Built since the nineteenth century by financiers and aristocracy, the villas are located outside of compact buildings and are surrounded by extensive gardens. The most famous one is the Villa Ephrussi de Rotschild and its Italian-style garden, which is open to the public.
The Cap Ferrat peninsula is famous for its beautiful beaches located in coves. Almost all of them are paid, and some have access only to those who live in hotels on the peninsula. The most famous and the most expensive is Paloma Beach. Other famous beaches are Passabel, Fosses and Fossettes. The attraction of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is also the possibility of taking walks in picturesque surroundings. There is a walking trail around the peninsula, which you can walk, among others, to the lighthouse.
