Opened to the faithful in 1912, the Orthodox Temple is the largest church in the traditional Russian style outside of Russia. Originally a villa stood here, in which Tsarevich Nikolai Aleksandrovich died. Tsar Alexander II ordered to rebuild it into a chapel, which was replaced by the current building, modeled on the famous Moscow cathedral of Saint Basil the Blessed.
