The villa of Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild is wonderfully situated on the Cap Ferrat peninsula on the Cote d'Azur. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it is surrounded by themed gardens in the style of French, Spanish, Tropical and Japanese.
Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild belonged to the world-famous banker family. She married a representative of the same profession. At the beginning of the 20th century, she built a summer residence on the Cote d'Azur surrounded by gardens. It is a pale pink colonial building with a partially glazed roof. Surrounded by picturesque gardens with observation terraces, neoclassical buildings and gazebos.
In the baroness villa she placed a collection of art, antique furniture, porcelain and other artistic handicrafts collected over the years. In her will she wrote them together with the villa of the French Academy of Arts. Currently, in the preserved interiors of the early twentieth century, you can admire the collection of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and silk products, landscape and portrait painting collections, and a collection of knick knacks from around the world.
