The Marmottan Monet Museum is an object in which paintings of the Impressionist trend are presented. You can see, among others, a series of paintings by Claude Monet depicting the cathedral of Rouen and his Impression at sunrise. There are also works by Degas, Pissaro and Renoir.
The museum was founded in 1934 on the basis of Paul Marmottan's private art collection. It is located in his villa from the turn of the 20th century. The original, preserved interiors contain paintings of the masters of the era. Thanks to several donations, among others from Madame Victorine Donop de Moncha and son of Claude Monet, Michel, the museum today has the largest collection of works of this impressionist in the world.
