The Cernuschi Museum is a private institution dealing with Asian art, with particular emphasis on Chinese and Japanese art. There are collections of archaic tools and ceramics, jewelry, sculptures and paintings from various periods of Chinese and Japanese art.
The museum was founded in 1898. The collector Henri Cernuschi founded it. Its ornament is a Buddha statue from Japanese Meguro, made of bronze in the 18th century. In addition to the exhibition, you can see about 1,000 items, including dresses, ceramics, sculptures, jewelry and fabrics. The oldest of them come from the Bronze Age.
