Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

Local name: Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste

The construction of the temple began in the 12th century. Potyn and St. Irenaeus, the first two bishops of Lyon. Completed in 1476, the building has preserved priceless sacred objects inside, including two crosses from the time of the Second Council of Lion (1274) placed in the main altar, a 14th-century astronomical clock or 15th-century sculptures in the Bourbon Chapel.
