Local name: Grotte d'Orjobet
Located in the vertical wall of the grotto, with an entrance at an altitude of 1,200 m above sea level, it was discovered in 1779 by Horace-Bénédict de Saussure, a Geneva physicist and geologist. It is named after François Orjobet, de Saussure's guide. Sightseeing takes place thanks to a path marked out and secured in 1905.
