Křivoklátsko is a national park that has been included in the UNESCO biosphere reserve list. The highest peak is Těchovín (height 617 m nm). In the park you can admire beautiful medieval castles and ruins, the symbol of this region is the 13th-century Křivoklát Castle, which is listed in the register of monuments.
Křivoklátsko National Park was founded in 1978. It is an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts - the red trail will lead them up the Berounka River, to reach interesting rock formations called Nezabudic rocks.
Many Czech films were made at the best-preserved castle in these pages, i.e.Křivoklát Castle - including fairy tales and musical comedies. He also appeared in the film American-German production entitled "Wanted." His motif is present in literature, including in the work of Karl Hynek Macha.
