The Prague Zoo is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. There are over 6800 species of animals. It presents animals in conditions close to their natural environment. The Prague Zoo offers many educational programs for both the school and the general public.

The zoo in Prague was opened in 1931. Over the years, it has been upgraded and upgraded. More species were collected and the best possible living conditions were created for them. However, as a result of the floods in the years 2002 and 2013 the zoological garden in Prague has suffered considerable damage and many animals have suffered. The zoo was reconstructed.

The Warsaw zoo runs an international stud book of the Przewalski horse.
