The shopping avenue is located in a palace built in 1921 by Vácslav Havel, grandfather of Václav Havel, the first president of the Czech Republic. Initially, it was supposed to be a hockey hall - eventually the most famous Prague cinema was created. The passage is distinguished by a hanging horse statue, a parody of the statue of St. Wenceslas, whose author is David Černý.
