The 16th-century building in the Renaissance style obtained its present form after the reconstruction completed in 1723 according to the design of Antonio Erhart Martinelli. From 1908, it housed a museum of technology, and now it houses a permanent exhibition of the Military Historical Institute, where you can see a collection of armor, melee and firearms from the 15th to the 19th century.
