The most important Hradczan Square is famous for five palaces - the 16th-century Schwarzenberg Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the 18th-century Sternberg Palace, the Tuscan Palace and the Martinicki Palace. There is also a statue of Tomasz Masaryk (1850-1937) - the first and longest-serving president (17 years) of former Czechoslovakia.
