Sacred Hearts is a modern gallery, carefully renovated and equipped with modern multimedia equipment and exhibition space. It is located in a church built in 1908 by the Congregation of Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Sisters of the Heart). Former temples is a branch of the Archaeological Museum of Istria. It serves as a place for organizing temporary exhibitions, concerts and film screenings.
Sacred Hearts is 35 m long, 15 m wide and 15 m high - it is an open space, adapted to organize all kinds of cultural events. Care was also taken to adapt the former church to the needs of disabled people, including people in wheelchairs.
The temple in the style of late Baroque classicism was designed by Virgilio Volpi. The Heart Sisters took care of the church until World War II, when the congregation left Pula. From 1958, the building was a warehouse for the collection of the Archaeological Museum. It obtained its current form during the modernization of 1994-2011.
