The spacious market hall was built in 1909-1911 as the first shopping center of this type in Bulgaria. Currently, it houses over 130 shops and service points, spread over three floors. They include grocery, clothing, jewelery and cosmetics stores. There is also a food court.
The hall was built on a rectangular plan according to the design of architect Naum Torbov. The building is 65 m long and 55 m wide. Its architecture is dominated by the Neo-Renaissance style with neo-Byzantine and neo-baroque elements. There is an entrance on each of the four sides. The city's coat of arms is visible on the facade above the main entrance. The entire building is crowned with a turret with three faces of a huge clock. At the end of the 20th century, the center was rebuilt and modernized.
