Boat Lift no. 1

This is the first of four hydraulic cranes located on the historic Central Channel. It was built around 1900. It measures nearly 15.4 m high. At the beginning of the 21st century, all four cranes were replaced by a modern sluice lift. They were also inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an industrial monument.
