The Museum of Fine Arts, has a collection of over 9 thousand. works - this is mainly painting from the southern Netherlands, but also graphics and sculpture. The permanent exhibition presents a selection of several hundred works that are periodically changed. The museum regularly organizes thematic temporary exhibitions based on its collections, loan works and cooperation with artists.
The Museum voor Schone Kunsten collection includes works of art from the early Middle Ages to the 20th century. In addition to Dutch artists, painting from other European countries is also widely represented. The entire collection has been digitized and made available free of charge on the Internet.
The museum has a knowledge center of 19th century art, fin de siècle and the early 20th century. The facility also has over 40,000 item collection of books and magazines dedicated to art - almost entirely is available on the Internet.
