Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art

Established in 1999, the museum and gallery of contemporary art collects and presents works created after 1945. The collection of the facility includes works of the most outstanding contemporary artists, including Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, and David Hammons. SMAK has the world's largest collection of works by the conceptual artist Michael Borremans.
