The neo-Renaissance building erected in 1869 is one of the best preserved nineteenth-century theater stages in Europe. Currently, it is used as a theater and concert hall, as well as a place for various types of artistic events. In 2005, Spencer Tunick created one of his installations, consisting of 2,000 naked people.
