Minnewater Bridge

Local name: Minnewaterbrug

The first, wooden bridge on the canal leading to the unloading wharf (now Lake Minnewater) was built in 1311. The current brick structure dates from 1739. Until 1874, the central span was wooden and served as a drawbridge, allowing free movement of barges.
