The Generals' Hall of the Viennese Military History Museum contains 56 marble statues of Austria's best known and distinguished generals. All statues are equally tall and measure 186 cm. Half of the costs of establishing the hall were borne by the emperor Franz Józef, the rest was donated by private benefactors.
