Kaipromenade is the name of the promenade in the very center of Salzburg, which runs along the Salzach River on its left bank. The promenade is over a thousand meters long. In a pleasant park atmosphere you can walk and admire the opposite shore and the newer part of the city lying there, and in summer visit craft fairs.
Every year in the summer season, Kaipromenade hosts craft markets known as Salzachgalerien, literally "Salzach galleries". Along the entire promenade, tents and stands stretch with a wide variety of products, mostly hand-made by local and visiting craftsmen. We find here souvenirs, clothing, decorations, jewelry, dishes and much more. In addition, there are also food booths, both typical local dishes and more exotic dishes.
