Haus der Natur, or the Museum of Natural History, has eleven permanent exhibitions on a variety of subjects and a Science Center, dedicated especially to children and adolescents, where you can independently conduct simple experiments in various fields of science. There is also an aquarium in which various fish, octopus and sharks live, as well as a terrarium with numerous reptile species.
The exhibitions of the Natural History Museum concern, among others, our solar system and its place in space, the geological history of the Earth, the fauna inhabiting our planet and individual biospheres. You can learn a lot about the human body and its processes from another exhibition. In addition, a separate exhibition was dedicated to Christian Doppler, a famous scientist from Salzburg, whose discoveries were of great importance in physics, astronomy and mathematics, and even medicine.
