Vatican Grottoes

Underground under the Basilica of Saint. Peter's are not natural caves, but the space between the two basilicas - the original Constantine and current temple. They form an underground church. Here are the graves of most of the popes, beginning with St. Peter. The tomb of John Paul II was also moved here.
