Peace Gardens
Peace Gardens are gardens located in the courtyard of the Gothic Town Hall in Sheffield. They are decorated with monumental cascades - their waters are supposed to symbolize molten steel, the production of which was formerly known by Sheffield and local rivers (including River Rivelin and River Loxley). Many commemorative plaques and monuments were placed in the gardens, e.g. the Hiroshima monument, commemorating the victims of the 1945 nuclear attack.
