Flamingo Land Resort

Flamingo Land is a complex consisting of a theme park, a zoo and a holiday resort. The theme park includes 9 roller coaster and dozens of slides, carousels and queues, including the highest drop tower in Great Britain measuring 60 m in height. At the zoo you can see over 120 species of animals, such as hippos, camels, lions and exotic birds.

The complex has a large holiday village with caravans and cabins for rent, a recreation center, swimming pool and cafe. It also houses The Club and Zoo Bar, intended exclusively for caravan owners and residents. Frequent stage shows and cabaret performances take place here. There is also a golf course, spa and small supermarket for guests only.

Flamingo Land Resort was founded in 1959 as The Yorkshire Zoological Gardens. Flamingos were one of the first animals here, hence the name of the complex.
