Loch Leven Heritage Trail

Lake Leven is the largest British natural water reservoir located outside the mountains. Its protection is associated primarily with thousands of water and marsh birds living here and wintering. The shores of the lake are wet, and reeds are habitat of kingfishers and swans, among others. Otters and other aquatic mammals also live here.
