The Deep Aquarium

The Deep is an oceanarium located just above the bay. 3.5 thousand fish live in it, including rays, sharks, and brown penguins. The "Penguins of Grytviken" which they occupy is the largest and deepest in Europe. The facility displays multimedia presentations, and you can also view interactive exhibitions, presenting primarily the history of life in the seas and oceans.

The Two Rivers Restaurant, located in the oceanarium, was built in the heart of the facility. Instead of walls, there are huge aquariums for sharks and rays. It can be rented for special occasions. There are also organized special events, including Christmas dinners or New Year parties.

In 2016, two young penguins hatched for the first time at the oceanarium. The female was named Lizzie, in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, who then celebrated her ninetieth birthday.
