Pollok House and Garden

The former seat of the Maxwell family handed over to the National Trust in 1966. Its central part is a residence designed by William Adam in the mid-eighteenth century. Inside, there is a rich collection of Spanish painting gathered by the Maxwells. There are, among others, works by El Greco or Francesco Goya. The house is surrounded by decorative flower and shrub gardens.
