Glasgow Science Centre
The Glasgow Science Center has three main parts. The largest of the buildings, the Science Mall, is titanium coated and has a crescent shape. It houses the Science Center, which, next to interactive exhibitions, also has a climate change simulator and a planetarium. You can see the sky image on the dome with a diameter of 15 m. There is also a children's section of The Big Explorer. The second building is the 127-meter high Glasgow Tower, the tallest free-spinning tower in the world. The complex is complemented by an IMAX cinema.
The facility was opened in June 2001 by Queen Elizabeth II. In 2007, the Scottish Tourist Agency Visit Scotland awarded the Glasgow Science Center five stars in the category of attractions for visitors.
The main character of the children's television program Nina and Neuronko works as a neurologist at the Glasgow Science Center. In fact, Nina is played by actress Katrina Bryan, who is not associated with the facility.
