Gornergrat railway - top station 3089 m

The steepest cogwheel railway in the world. The funicular connects Zermatt with the 3089 m above sea level Gornergrat. The journey takes 33 minutes and offers panoramic views, among others. to the top of the Matterhorn. The structure was put into operation at the end of the 19th century.
