Weissenau Castle Ruins

Local name: Ruine Weissenau

The castle was built in the second half of the XIII century. It is the largest and best-preserved castle in the Bernese Oberland. The building was entered in the register of Swiss monuments. To this day, only the ruins of a medieval residence have survived: the tower and a fragment of the residential part.
