HR Giger Museum
Local name: Musée HR Giger
The Hans Rudolf Giger Museum is located in the medieval castle of St. Germain in Switzerland. The permanent exhibition includes the most important works of the artist, which brought him international fame, including film projects such as the character xenomorph from the movie "Alien - the eighth passenger of Nostromo". Opposite the museum is a bar designed by Giger.
Visitors to the museum will see paintings, sculptures and furniture created by the artist, the inside of the castle looks like a science fiction movie set. The bar has a unique atmosphere, you can sit under the vault imitating the skeleton of an extraterrestrial being, attention is attracted by amazing lighting and equipment.
HR Griger gained popularity and recognition in 1980 when he won the Oscar for "Best Visual Effects" in the movie "Aliens." He was also the author of sketches for the film "Dune", based on the book by Frank Herbert.
