Disentis Monastery

The Benedictine monastery is a medieval monument around which the present city of Disentis has developed. It was founded in the 18th century, most probably in 720. The two-story church was built in the years 1696-1712 in the Baroque style. In the north wing of the monastery building there is a museum that presents a collection of art collected since the Middle Ages.
