St. Alban gate
Local name: St. Alban Tor
The gate is part of the former fortifications of the city, one of three portals that have survived to this day. The first records about the gate come from 1230. The monument was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1356, and then rebuilt in 1362 and 1374. Currently, the gate leads to the St. Alban, where thanks to narrow, winding streets and historic buildings, there is a truly medieval atmosphere.
