Öland Zoo and Amusement Park
Local name: Ölands Djur & Nöjespark
Ölands Djur & Nöjespark is a zoo and amusement park located on the island of Öland in the Baltic Sea. Guests can see exotic animals from all over the world, but also take advantage of swimming pools and water slides as well as a carousel, games and other amusement park attractions.
The zoo is home to lions, tigers, zebras, alligators, as well as chimpanzees and orangutans. There is also a farm with small livestock and pets that can be petted. Visitors can enter the area where the lemurs live and take a photo with them.
In the part of the pools there are many entertainment options, incl. water slides of varying difficulty and a high waterfall.
The park was established in the 1970s by Boris Bravin, who bought an old farm near the newly built bridge for this purpose.
