The caves in Urdazubi / Urdax, known as the Caves of Ikaburu, were built 14,000 years ago and contain traces of a prehistoric man. For centuries, they were a hideout for soldiers and smugglers, today they are a tourist attraction of the region, they can be visited with a guide. The trip lasts about 40 minutes, visitors will see amazing stalactites and stalagmites, and learn about local legends (one of them tells about lamias living in caves - monsters in female form).
