The peak in the Pyrenees range lies on the French-Spanish border. It measures 905 m above sea level. Several hiking trails run through it, and a small mountain railway leads to the top from the French side. On the slopes there are numerous dolmens and other neolithic buildings. In Basque mythology, the mountain has a special meaning and was considered a saint.
