Montgrí Castle

The fortress atop Montgrí was the result of a constant conflict between the counts of Empúries. The construction of the castle lasted over the 13th and 14th centuries, but was never completed. A characteristic feature of the ruins are four towers, from which a panorama of the Empordà coast stretches.
