The Barquetta Bridge crosses the Guadalquivir River in Seville and is one of the main entrances to the island of Isla de la Cartuja. It was established on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition in 1992. Initially, it served as an arch bridge for pedestrians visiting the exhibition, but today it is also adapted to bicycle and car traffic.
