Defensive walls surround the Old City of Seville. They were built in Roman times, and today are inscribed on the list of Spanish historical monuments. Interestingly, they remained intact until the nineteenth century - it was only after the revolution in 1868 that they were partially destroyed. The most popular part of the walls is located on Alcázar.
