The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary (Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Concepciónw) in Madrid's Salamanca district was built in the neo-Gothic style. It was entered in the register of Spanish monuments. The body of the building is dominated by a 44-meter tower with the image of the Holy Mother on the top. A crypt is available to visitors at the beginning of November.
The interior of the temple is decorated with numerous monuments of sacred art, you can see here, among others wooden, carved confessionals and the figure of the Baby Jesus from Prague. In 2014, she received the honorary title of minor basilica from the Pope.
The basilica was built at the beginning of the 20th century, Eugenio Giménez Corera was responsible for the project, after his death Jesus Carrasco continued the work. The ceremonial inauguration of the temple took place in 1914, it was done by King Alfonso XIII.
